I'm Mark - and I'm a Texas Licensed Realtor®.  WAIT!  Before you close this page: I'm trying to do something different.  If the interwebs tell me who you are, I'll say hi - but I won't spam you into oblivion and you definitely won't be seeing my face pop up in all your phone apps.  Buying, selling, renting and moving don't have to be stressful - and agents don't have to be annoying.

I created this site for anyone who lives somewhere, or will eventually move to or from somewhere.  It's kinda bare-bones right now, so let me know what kind of stuff would be helpful.  Whatever your housing situation, I hope I can help you enjoy it more, reach your goals and laugh along the way.  Feel free to reach out to me for any reason; and please visit my agent page if you're ready for a more focused look at the Greater Austin, Texas real estate market.

Why real estate

Well, it's real.  I thought I might save the world one intelligence report at a time when I was in the Army.  I tried to serve my country one spreadsheet at a time when I was a federal consultant.  Now I just want to make life a little better - one real person - one real family at a time.

REALTORS® should recognize that the interests of the nation and its citizens require the highest and best use of the land and the widest distribution of land ownership...

Such interests impose obligations beyond those of ordinary commerce. They impose grave social responsibility and a patriotic duty to which REALTORS® should dedicate themselves...

My broker

I entered the real estate profession admittedly with a high degree of cynicism.  As a consumer, it felt like agents saw me as a number.  After I earned my license, it felt like brokers saw me as a number. I was going to be a different kind of agent, and I needed a different kind broker to help me achieve that.

I met Mary Miner before I got my real estate license and almost joined her brokerage—twice!  I’ll always be an adventurous kid at heart and I just wasn’t ready to settle down yet.  So I cut my teeth at a couple brokerages, figured out what I bring to the world of real estate and finally came home to Nextage Lone Star Realty.  We may be small; but these are some top notch agents with a broker who is recognized for her dedication to industry standards and homeowner advocacy.
